Polthakorn Viboonviriyawong, called Jo-Jo by friends and family, grew up in the jewelry business. Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Jo-Jo watched his mother start and build a successful diamond business. His earliest creative memories are of his mother asking him to use his burgeoning design skills to help create new settings for her jewels. Recognizing his inherent talent, she later sent Jo-Jo to the United States to study design and encouraged him to turn his passion into a career.

Jo-Jo received his masters in design from UCLA and further honed his professional skills at one of LA’s finest art schools, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), where he graduated first in his class. It was at FIDM that jewelry became his primary focus. His vision is one that expands the role of jewelry beyond that of mere accessories. He views jewelry as art - art that makes a statement of personality and energy. Inspired by many vintage styles, Jo-Jo’s design aesthetic utilizes elements from the past in a wholly contemporary interpretation. His design signature is a flower as the centerpiece.
