Denim is back in a big way for the spring/summer 2010 season with an abundance of options. Denim trend colors include blue, black, white or grey with holes, rips, tears and even patches. Although these details may not be for you, embellishments like studs, zippers, rivets, chains and prints might fit your style. Go skinny or appropriately fitted to make your statement. While you’re at in, layer on these denim-inspired pieces of sodalite and clear crystal quartz gemstones for extra texture and fashion fun.

Kathi Erps of Phoenix, AZ won the ‘Virtually Fabulous’ Makeover Contest (valued at $7,500) sponsored by Jeane B., renowned Image Expert, media personality and author of The Be. System, Completing the Circle Between You and Your Style.
Makeover Partners: A special thanks goes to Toni & Guy Salons of metro Phoenix for Kathi’s new hair style; Laura Geller Makeup for the generous makeup gift bag;; and Jeane B. for her book which is the best style book around.
Kathi’s Story: I grew up in a lower income family, so I never really had a budget for clothes or jewelry. In my adult life, this has transitioned into not having much of a style and not knowing how to have style. I tend to wear jeans and t-shirts as often as I can. As I become more successful in my career as a Program Manager, I feel a need to dress and look better as I interact more with executives and customers – but I don’t know how to do that! My husband says that I am beautiful, but I just don’t know how to look great and still be comfortable. My hair is naturally curly and very hard to manage. I workout virtually every day before work and need to keep the time it takes to get ready to a bare minimum. My goal would be to find a comfortable, easy to manage style that flatters me and makes a statement about how good I really am at what I do.
Kathi’s Style Challenges: Define her personal style, upgrade her work wardrobe, create a transition wardrobe between casual and work, find an easy, manageable and flattering hair style, gain makeup application, color and product tips and find jewelry that will be lightweight and appropriate for her now and later.
Style Answers: Jeane gave Kathi a core work wardrobe to match her lifestyle and new career position. I injected some fabulous jewelry that was attractive and appropriate for now and later. Our partners from Toni & Guy (Alyson in MetroCenter) and Laura Geller equip her with the finishing touches of a new hair style and a beauty and easy makeup palette.
Makeover Partners: A special thanks goes to Toni & Guy Salons of metro Phoenix for Kathi’s new hair style; Laura Geller Makeup for the generous makeup gift bag;; and Jeane B. for her book which is the best style book around.

Here’s how you can create several distinct styles based on one interesting dress.
Traditional brides tend to embrace all of the pomp, circumstance and trimmings of classic wedding ceremonies. Ruffles and lace are cornerstones of a traditional bride’s fashion selections. Of course, the Style Folio bride believes in tradition with a bit of twist.
As the title implies, the individualist bride focuses on making her wedding day, HER wedding day. She approaches every detail with a focus that truly reflects her and her partner’s personal styles.
The modernist bride steers towards the edge with assymetrical lines and contemporary details. Style Folio’s modernist bride mixes a little bit of the old and makes it new again.
